LPY Series

Rugged, invar stabilized, pulsed Nd:YAG lasers with high energy and high Performance for industrial and scientific applications.

The modular design of the laser head allows a wide variety of resonator configurations to be offered, from single rod oscillators to fully birefringence compensating twin-rod-oscillator, twin-rod-amplifier systems. Furthermore, a choice of stable, stable-telescopic or unstable Gaussian-coupled resonators is available, allowing the customer to specify a system that suits their requirements.

Gaussian Coupled Pulsed Nd:YAG Lasers

The LPY600 Series models are single rod oscillators or oscillator-amplifiers. Gaussian resonators produce very low-divergence, single transverse mode output beams.

True TEMoo Pulsed Nd:YAG Lasers

High energy true TEMoo outputs are obtained by means of an intra-cavity aperture behind the telescope within a telescopic resonator. The output beams from such systems typically have divergences that are within 15% of the diffraction limit. These systems therefore have output beams that are Gaussian in both the near field and far field.

Injection Seeded Lasers

Inject_Seed_head

All lasers from the LPY series can be fitted with an injection seeder to provide true SLM operation. The SLM output is actively controlled by a piezo drive to the rear cavity mirror to ensure long term stability of the output. The seeder itself is mounted within the laser head on the ultra-stable invar frame and optically decoupled by two Faraday isolators for optical stability.
