The Nano S PIV is the smallest in the series. Two Nano S lasers are mounted onto an Aluminium gauge plate to provide a robustness that is required in many industrial environments. The beam combination optics and any harmonic generation units are also mounted onto this plate for increased stability. Both lasers share the same integral power supply and cooling unit.

The Nano L PIV lasers exhibit the same industrial robustness as the smaller Nano S PIV series. The use of a slightly larger pumping chamber assembly enables each Nano L laser to be run at 100Hz enabling results to be taken at 200Hz. This exceptional specification is achieved from a very compact laser head.

The PIV laser head is based around two individual Nano TRL laser heads. The Nano TRL is a fully birefringence compensated pulsed laser system offering both high energy and high repetition rate outputs. It’s twin-rod architecture ensures high beam homogeneity even at very high average power outputs. This homogeneity manifests itself in imaging applications where the formation of stable and uniform light sheets is of paramount importance.

Litron LPY INVAR based PIV lasers have a unique capability for both high energy and high speed PIV application. Litron has taken the expertise in designing high frequency industrial pulsed lasers and transferred this to demanding PIV applications. We were first on the market with both 100Hz & now 200Hz lasers producing a class leading 50mJ per pulse at either frequency. By using our twin rod birefringence compensating pumping chamber design the stability and homogeneity of the laser beam is maintained even at 200Hz. This in a completely beam-tube protected optical configuration allowing these systems to be used in dynamic monitoring and laboratory applications alike.

Plasma 75 PIV

The World’s first dedicated 0-200 Hz pulsed diode pumped Nd:YAG laser for PIV applications.

The Plasma PIV system is a fully diode pumped dual head laser system designed specifically for PIV applications. It comprises two fully independent frequency doubled Nd:YAG lasers, that are beam combined to a common beam axis. These lasers each produce 532 nm outputs of 75 mJ per pulse up to 150 Hz and 60 mJ at 200 Hz with pulse lengths of ~10 ns.
Pulsed diode pumping, ultra-stable mechanics, damage resistant optics and innovative design make the Plasma PIV system highly reliable. Offering a circular homogenous beam with a low M2 it is an ideal tool for high brightness, high homogeneity light-sheet formation. LD75-G PIV

High repetition rate DPSS Nd:YAG dual head laser for time resolved PIV applications.

The LD75-G PIV is a dual laser head system ideal for PIV applications. The system comprises two fully independent intracavity doubled Nd:YAG lasers, each giving outputs of 75 W at 532 nm, that are combined to a common beam axis. Both lasers are independently triggerable and controllable. The Invar rail around which the system is constructed imparts exceptional stability and the sealed head enclosure ensures continuous reliable operation in non-ideal environments. The power supplies and chiller are fully integrated in a single unit.
